Mukono Municipality Legislator Betty Nambooze Bakireke has said what President Museveni is doing is to confuse the leader of the urban poor, a man who is a symbol for the youth, the urban poor and a full generation of people.
While addressing the Question on whether Opposition is threatened by President Museveni’s new appointments, Betty Nambooze said that Museveni is now attacking People Power Movement leader Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine with a mission of creating a mirror image sort of leadership.
Museveni ‘s aim is to create wrangles in between Musicians so that Bobi Wine can fight with Fellow Musicians other than mobilizing People to fight against injustices and a change of Government.
“He wants to step aside and see Bobi Wine fight with fellow musicians.”
Nambooze also noted that the whole of Uganda is a Ghetto because President Museveni has created inconsistent systems that render Uganda a Ghetto.
“If you look at Kampala, President Museveni has disempowered the elected leaders of the city. Whatever is being done in the city isn’t done to better the lives of the people.”
According to her, Buchaman who was appointed presidential advisor on Ghetto Affairs hasn’t come to do anything to improve the lives of the people but was appointed to destabilize different projects that Bobi Wine and team are working on to overthrow Museveni in 2021.
She further noted that with the appointments of Catherine Kusasila, Buchaman, Full figure and the rest. It is a clear indication that the NRM government has no deliberate plan to address issues in the ghetto despite the World talking about an ethical city management plan that puts People first before doing anything else.
